Overview: The Unified Champion Schools & Special Olympics College Internship focuses on promoting inclusion and leadership through the Unified Champion Schools strategy. Interns will work to connect students with and without intellectual disabilities in sports, leadership, and campus activities. They will gain experience in school programming, community engagement, and nonprofit operations.
Key Information:
Location: Flexible, based within the candidate’s respective college community
Modality: Flexible scheduling within the college community
Compensation: Non-paid internship
Time Commitment: Minimum of 5 hours per week, commitment for the entire school year (August – May)
Eligibility Requirements:
Open to current college students or recent graduates (various fields)
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills
Willingness to engage with and advocate for individuals with disabilities
Must provide a resume, complete an online volunteer application, required training, and background check
