Overview: The Health Initiatives Intern will support the Health Initiatives team by assisting with the logistics of health screenings, volunteer coordination, and promotional material distribution. Responsibilities also include managing social media channels, planning events, data entry, and general office tasks.

Key Information:

• Location: HQ Office, 1600 Forbes Way, Suite 200, Long Beach, CA 90810

• Modality: In-person

• Compensation: Non-paid internship

• Time Commitment: 12-18 hours/week, minimum 3-5 month commitment; attendance at regional/chapter events required

Eligibility Requirements:

• Strong organizational, people, and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

• Ability to handle confidential information, multitask, and meet deadlines

• Energetic and ready to take on new projects

• Must be willing to travel to nearby counties for events and projects

• Complete a volunteer application, training, and background check

• Volunteers must be at least 18
