Overview: This internship provides a pathway to potential employment within the Department of Interior (DOI). DHA-RA interns gain hands-on experience, network with federal employees, and develop specialized skills in conservation and resource management.

Key Information:

  • Location: Various DOI sites or park locations

  • Modality: In-person, with some positions offering remote options

  • Compensation: $720 weekly stipend, plus commuting stipend (if needed), housing, and travel expenses for out-of-state participants

  • Estimated time commitment: 12 weeks

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Current student enrolled in an accredited educational institution

  • Upper-level undergraduate or graduate student

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder)

  • Ages 18–30 (up to 35 for veterans)

  • Ability to complete internship requirements, including background check clearance
