Overview: The Ohio Safety Officers College Memorial Fund provides undergraduate tuition assistance to children, spouses, and qualified former spouses of peace officers, firefighters, and certain other safety officers killed in the line of duty. It also supports children and spouses of U.S. armed service members killed in the line of duty during Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, or combat zones designated by the President of the United States. This program is available for Ohio residents who are pursuing associate’s or bachelor’s degrees or are enrolled in certificate programs.

    • 100% tuition and fees at public institutions for degree programs

    • $9,449 per year at private institutions for degree programs

  • Must be an Ohio resident

  • Must be pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree or enrolled in a certificate program

  • Child, spouse, or qualified former spouse of:

    • Peace officers, firefighters, or safety officers killed in the line of duty

    • U.S. armed service members killed in combat zones or designated operations
