Organization Overview: NFAR Tech is an 8-month program designed for individuals with autism, offering comprehensive training in software testing and technical skills development. With a focus on quality assurance, soft skills, and hands-on vocational experience, NFAR Tech prepares participants for entry-level positions in the high-tech industry.

Key Information:

  • Location: Scripps Ranch Area, San Diego, California (with bus service from Miramar College)

  • Modality: In-person

  • Compensation: Paid internships available as part of the program

  • Estimated Time Commitment: 3 hours per day, 5 days per week, over 8 months

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Open to young adults 18+, diagnosed with autism, with a high school diploma, GED, or certificate

  • Interest in high-tech fields and software quality assurance

  • Ability to follow instructions independently in a classroom setting

  • Adapted course with a 6:1 student-to-instructor ratio, small group setting (maximum of 12 participants)
