Organization Overview: NFAR Cyber is a 9-month cybersecurity vocational training program tailored for individuals with autism, designed to prepare participants for careers as entry-level cybersecurity analysts. The program provides comprehensive training based on CompTIA curriculums, industry-recognized certifications (A+, N+, Security+), and hands-on experience in a supportive, simulated work environment.
Key Information:
Location: Scripps Ranch Area, San Diego, California (with bus service from Miramar College)
Modality: In-person
Compensation: Unpaid; potential for paid internships post-training
Estimated Time Commitment: 5 days per week, 3 hours per day, 9 months
Eligibility Requirements:
Young adults 18+ with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related conditions
High school diploma, GED, or certificate required
Interest in cybersecurity or the high-tech field
Ability to work independently and seek assistance when needed in an open work setting
