Overview: The NeuroDiversity in Tech (NDTech) Summer Internship is a 9-week program designed for individuals with developmental disorders, specifically autism spectrum disorders, to gain experience in video game design and workplace skills. Interns work in small teams with a peer coach to develop educational video games while learning professional and technical skills.

Key Information:

  • Location: UC San Diego, La Jolla, CA

  • Modality: In-person

  • Compensation: TBD (2024 interns received a $3,500 stipend; 2025 internship may be unpaid)

  • Time Commitment: 22+ hours per week, June 23 – August 22, 2025

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must have a high school diploma or GED by June 16, 2025

• Strong interest in video game design or development

• Personal experience living with autism or other neurodiverse conditions
