As a County Social Casework Intern, you will participate in a structed six-month internship program in order to learn the skills and duties necessary to become proficient in the field of casework.  You will have the opportunity to work in conjunction with a caseworker to develop and enhance general intake and assessment skills, as well as learn how to navigate recording of intakes, intake investigations, and service planning.  You will learn how to best serve and assist clients through building a positive rapport, providing counseling interventions, and being an active and respondent support.  You will also advise families of their legal rights and assist with securing legal counsel as necessary.  We are looking for someone who possesses the ability to apply relevant laws, regulations, and policies in order to help the children and families achieve an acceptable resolution.  Within this role, it is imperative to be able to exercise professional judgement without being judgmental.  Please refer to the application website for job requirements, qualifications, and application instructions.
