Overview: The Schwallie Family Scholarship supports autistic students pursuing post-secondary education at two- or four-year colleges, universities, or trade schools. The scholarship awards $3,000 to individuals with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder who demonstrate academic dedication, resilience, and aspirations to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Eligibility Requirements:
Must have an established autism diagnosis (DSM-IV or later criteria)
Must be attending an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution full-time (minimum 6 credits)
Must not have received a bachelor’s degree or been a previous OAR scholarship recipient
Open to students attending: Four-year colleges/universities, Two-year colleges with plans to transfer, Trade schools, technical schools, or cooperative life skills programs
Required documents: Online application with basic information and essays, Proof of autism diagnosis (required only for finalists), Proof of enrollment (or acceptance), Optional letter of recommendation (highly recommended)
