Overview: The Arab American Leadership Program (AALP) strengthens the political power of the Arab American community by increasing representation in public service. This program offers fellows a summer internship in state or federal government agencies, Capitol Hill, or public service institutions in Washington, D.C., along with leadership development workshops and mentorship opportunities.

Key Information:

  • Location: State-level or Washington, D.C. placements

  • Modality: In-person

  • Compensation: $3,000 stipend; up to $2,000 for housing and transportation support based on financial need

  • Estimated Time Commitment: Summer 2025, May–August (exact dates determined by placement)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be at least 20 years old

  • Must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from an accredited U.S. college/university

  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher

  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to participate in an in-person internship
