Overview: Element Biosciences is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to contribute to the development and testing of sequencing platforms. This internship offers hands-on experience in building test stations, troubleshooting prototypes, performing sequencing runs, and analyzing data. Interns will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and gain insights from organizational leaders.

Compensation: $25–$40 per hour (based on degree and experience)
Estimated Time Commitment: Full-time
Eligibility Requirements:
Undergraduate (Senior) or graduate student (MS/PhD) currently enrolled in engineering or physics
Experience in scripting for hardware testbed automation (e.g., motion control, sensor integration, data logging) using Python, LabView, etc.
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB
Research/hands-on experience with instrument HW/SW integration and hardware test tools (e.g., microscopes, multimeters, oscilloscopes) preferred (1+ years)
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills preferred
Python knowledge strongly preferred
