If this sounds appealing, consider applying for an exciting paid internship at Shawnee State Park! This opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience while ensuring that the park remains a welcoming space for all visitors in Pennsylvania!

As an Intern, you will support the supervisor across various trade areas. Your responsibilities will encompass carpentry tasks, where you will engage in both rough and finish work for buildings and facilities, including remodeling and wood projects such as cabinets and decks. In the electrical domain, you will assist with troubleshooting and repairs within the campground and other locations. For plumbing, your role will involve aiding in repairs, upgrades, and annual maintenance, addressing issues from broken pipes to winterizing water systems. In masonry, you will learn to construct forms and assist in mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete for structures, walls, and sidewalks. Furthermore, you will gain a crucial understanding of safety protocols applicable to all trade areas.”
