Organization Overview: The San Diego Air & Space Museum, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, brings the history of aviation and space exploration to life through artifacts from the Wright Brothers, Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and other pioneers.
The R.A. Rearwin Scholarship Fund was established in 2000 by Kenneth Rearwin and other members of the Rearwin family in honor of their late father, a noted aircraft and engine manufacturer.
Key Information: Scholarships are reserved for and awarded to applicants who have demonstrated a strong career interest in the aerospace industry, who are planning to pursue a degree in an aerospace related field, and who have also shown a strong interest in the "hands-on" aspects of such a career. If you are a graduating senior at a San Diego county high school, who wants to pursue a bachelors degree in an aerospace-related field, with an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher you should apply for the R.A. Rearwin Scholarship Fund. You have the opportunity to win $2,500 to $4,000.
Eligibility Requirements
Graduating seniors of San Diego County high schools who will be attending a four year college.
Unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
Strong aviation/aerospace career interests
Pursuing a baccalaureate degree in an aerospace-related field
