Overview: The MPL Summer Internship Program is a ten-week paid research program where undergraduates conduct individual research projects under the mentorship of renowned scientists. Participants also attend weekly seminars, hands-on activities, and more.

Key Information:

• Location: Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego

• Modality: In-person

• Compensation: $18.00/hour salary + $6,000 taxable stipend

• Time Commitment: 40 hours per week for 10 weeks starting June 2025

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

• Currently enrolled as a first, second, or third-year undergraduate student (seniors, former MPL interns, and high school applicants are not eligible)

• Must be at least 18 years old by the internship start date

• Available to work full-time for the entire internship duration
