Overview: The High School Involvement Partnership (HIP) Mentoring Program is a two-year program designed to expose high school students to STEM fields through mentorship, hands-on projects, and exposure to Northrop Grumman’s technologies and workforce. The program provides an opportunity for students to develop critical skills necessary for STEM careers and may lead to competitive high school and early college internships.

  • Modality: Hybrid (virtual and in-person site visits)

  • Compensation: Unpaid mentoring program; potential for paid internships later

  • Time Commitment:

    • Junior Year (November – May): 10-12 virtual sessions, 2-3 in-person site visits

    • Senior Year (November – April): Individual/group mentoring and a hands-on project

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a high school junior or senior attending a Northrop Grumman partner high school

  • Interest in STEM fields (engineering, physics, math, cyber, computer science, manufacturing)

  • Minimum 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Must commit to attending virtual seminars and in-person site activities.
