Overview: Element Biosciences is seeking a Fluidics Engineering Intern – Consumable/Flowcell to join their team in San Diego. The intern will work on cutting-edge projects in sequencing technology, contributing to consumable and flowcell development. This role provides hands-on experience in experimentation, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Compensation: $25–$40 per hour (based on degree and experience)

Estimated Time Commitment: Full-time

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Junior or Senior year student in a Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD program in Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical, Biology, Physics, or a related field

  • 1–3 years of wet lab experience

  • Basic understanding of fluid mechanics, mechanics, optics, chemistry, and microscopy preferred

  • Device characterization experience in fluidic consumables, microfluidic chips, or related applications preferred

  • Data analysis skills using Python, Matlab, or C++ required

  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
