Overview: The CW3E Summer Internship Program is a 9-week paid research experience designed to provide undergraduate students with hands-on research opportunities in weather and water extremes. Projects cover topics such as atmospheric rivers, soil moisture variability, and artificial intelligence applications in forecasting.

Location: Scripps Institution of Oceanography, La Jolla, CA, or Steamboat Springs, CO
Modality: In-person
Compensation: $20/hour for 35–40 hours/week; paid housing and travel provided
Time Commitment: June 21 – August 23, 2025 (tentative)
Eligibility Requirements:
Open to undergraduate students, including those graduating in May/June of the internship year
No prior research or professional experience required
Strong interest in meteorology, data analysis, or CW3E research areas
