Organization Overview: Novartis’s Biomedical Research (BR) division is a global leader in pharmaceutical research focused on discovering therapies for diseases worldwide. The Summer of Science Internship offers students and recent graduates an immersive experience in the drug discovery process, providing hands-on research training at Novartis’s facilities in Cambridge, MA, and San Diego, CA.

Key Information:

• Location: Cambridge, MA, and San Diego, CA

• Modality: Onsite

• Compensation: Competitive with local internship wages; includes financial support for housing, travel, and local transit systems

• Estimated Time Commitment: Full-time, 10 weeks

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be 18+ years of age by program start

• Completed at least three semesters or four quarters at an accredited U.S. college or university

• Enrolled in a U.S.-based college/university and eligible to work in the U.S.

• Strong interest in pursuing a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences with a GPA of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale

• Not open to students currently enrolled in Ph.D., Master’s, PharmD, or M.D. programs
