Urban Outfitters is looking for a Buying intern to join the team for the Summer to support our growth categories for the season, the person would support all buying functions for the team.
About The Summer Internship Program
Each summer URBN Inc. welcomes candidates from across the country to immerse themselves within various teams across our portfolio of brands and gain hands-on learning experience in the area of business which they choose to pursue. The URBN 2025 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/2 through 8/8 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.
Summer Internship Program Application Process

  • Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills.  If there is a project component in the application (see below within role qualifications), it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position.  This is due at the time of your application submission.

  • Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.

  • Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.

Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 4th 2024.
Role Responsibilities

  • Purchase order creation/revisions

  • Vendor creation in the system

  • Sample management

  • Pulling reports

  • Vendor and cross divisional communication

  • Intern project

  • Trend recaps

Role Qualifications
Buying/merchandising major or background preferred, prior retail experience, passion for fashion trends and product. Excel + powerpoint proficiency.
Project Requirement
In addition to your application and resume, to be considered for this role please submit a Trend Concept Board (8.5 X 11 PDF format is preferred)

  • Once you complete your project, please upload it to the additional documents section in the application process.

Create a concept board with 3 – 5 fashion trends you see emerging for the Urban Outfitterscustomer in Fall 2025.

  • Pull imagery from blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, runway, etc. to show your point of view – merchandisers, make it into a story!

  • We are looking for forward thinkers showing future inspirational trends that move beyond where we are currently or where we have been!

This is the creative part of the application so have fun with it!
