Overview: Element Biosciences is seeking a Software Development Intern for Summer 2025 to work on automating manual tasks and streamlining workflows between commercial and software operations teams. The internship provides opportunities for hands-on experience with modern software frameworks, Agile methodologies, and real-world application of coding skills. Interns will also engage in meaningful projects that directly impact the company’s product roadmap and commercial scaling.

Key Information:

• Location: San Diego, California (onsite)

• Modality: In-person

• Compensation: $25–$40 per hour (based on degree and experience)

• Estimated Time Commitment: Full-time

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Programming, Computer Science, Bioengineering, or related field

  • Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks (Go preferred, Python, Typescript, React)

  • Experience writing gRPC or REST APIs

  • Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB or Postgres

  • Understanding of cloud services (AWS preferred) and software development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
