Overview: Mount Carmel volunteers provide invaluable services to patients and visitors across various hospitals and care sites. Opportunities include assisting patients and families, providing companionship, operating courtesy carts, and more.

Key Information:

  • Location: Multiple Mount Carmel sites (Dublin, East, Grove City, St. Ann’s, New Albany, College of Nursing)

  • Modality: In-person

  • Compensation: Volunteer (unpaid)

  • Estimated Time Commitment:

    • Adults: Four-hour shifts, one day per week, minimum of six months or 100 hours

    • College Students: Weekly schedule per semester

    • Teens (Ages 16-18): Four-hour shifts during summer or school year

Eligibility Requirements

  • Adults: Ages 18 and older, not enrolled in high school, required TB test, immunization records, flu vaccine (during flu season), and a criminal background check

  • College Students: Must be enrolled in a college program, interested in clinical settings, and able to commit to a weekly schedule

  • Teens: Ages 16-18, must complete a multi-step application and onboarding process
