Overview: Established in 2023, these scholarships are funded by Charles Kaminski in loving memory of his husband, Jeffrey Shorn. Two separate scholarships are offered: one encourages global thinking, and the other supports studies in architecture or similar vocations. Jeffrey and Charles were partners and advocates in architecture, education, and history.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Minimum 3.0 GPA for high school seniors, 2.8 GPA for undergraduate/graduate students

• Resident of San Diego County

• LGBTQ+ high school senior continuing to full-time** undergraduate study or LGBTQ+ full-time** graduate student

• Must attend the Awards Ceremony (May 31, 2025)
