Organization Overview: Scripps Research is offering a year-round part-time Research Internship in the Saez Lab within the Molecular and Cellular Biology Department. Interns will support research focused on the molecular basis of metabolic disorders. This position provides hands-on laboratory experience with tasks such as glassware washing, autoclaving, and media preparation while working closely with lab staff on experimental procedures.

• Modality: On-site

• Compensation: $16.85 - $19.85 per hour

• Estimated Time Commitment: Part-time, up to 19 hours per week (year-round position)

Eligibility Requirements:

• Current enrollment in high school or a college/university program (undergraduate students in biological or life sciences preferred)

• Willingness to handle animals and work in a laboratory environment

• Strong interest in molecular biology and metabolic research
