The intern will be introduced to the scientific concepts and standard processes involved in functional evaluation of mRNAs in cell-based assays. They will be trained in in-vitro cell culture, mRNA transfection, and expression assays. After demonstrating proficiency by transfecting cells and evaluation expression of control reporter mRNAs, they will perform cell-based assay experiments with novel modified mRNAs.
