iMentor New York City connects high school students from under-resourced communities with adult mentors to support their personal, academic, and professional development. The program focuses on helping students graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve career goals by providing one-on-one mentoring relationships that focus on academic success, career preparation, and social-emotional growth.

Location: New York City
Modality: Hybrid (combination of in-person and virtual mentoring)
Compensation: Unpaid volunteer position
Estimated Time Commitment: Mentors commit to meeting with students at least once a month for 3-4 years, both in-person and through virtual communication
Eligibility Requirements:
Open to adults aged 21 and older
Must complete a volunteer application, background check, and attend orientation and training
U.S. citizenship or legal residency required
Mentors should demonstrate a commitment to helping students achieve their academic and career goals, with the ability to sustain a long-term mentoring relationship
