Organization Overview: The Special Academy’s mission is to increase public awareness, recognition and appreciation of the creative talents of people with disabilities by providing opportunities that encourage, promote and showcase their artistic expressions.

Key Information: The College Scholarships Fund is targeted to the traditional college-aged student with a disability who is pursuing either a full- or part-time course of study in any medium of Art.

The scholarship requires the applicant to fill out an application and include a statement and portfolio. And these applications may be submitted at any time. These cash awards are determined on a competitive basis and require the submission by e-mail of an art portfolio and artist’s statement. E-mail a completed application form together with your portfolio and artist’s statement to the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation at specialacademy@gmail.com.

Eligibility Requirements:

• All applicants must be 18 or older to participate in this process.

• Have a disability.

• Pursuing either part-time or full-time course of study.
