Organization Overview:
Big Friends Little Friends is a community-based mentoring program that pairs adult mentors ("Bigs") with youth ("Littles") aged 6-14. Mentors and mentees meet 2-4 times a month for at least one year, with matches based on location, interests, and personalities. The program accommodates one-on-one matches, couples as Bigs, and family matches. Big Friends come from diverse backgrounds and are committed to being consistent role models for their Littles.

Location: Service area includes Amesbury, Andover, Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Lawrence, Merrimac, Methuen, Newbury, Newburyport, North Andover, Rowley, Salisbury, and West Newbury
Modality: In-person, community-based
Compensation: N/A
Estimated Time Commitment: 2-4 meetings per month for at least one year
Eligibility Requirements:
Bigs (Mentors):
Must be 18+ years old
Able to commit to the program’s time requirements and build a trusting relationship
Open to adults from all backgrounds
Littles (Mentees):
Boys and girls aged 6-14 who reside in the service area
Must want to participate and have parental/guardian support
