Overview: The Facilities Intern at Ste. Geneviève National Historical Park will assist skilled National Park Service tradespeople with preserving park assets. This internship provides hands-on experience in park operations, carpentry, masonry, painting, cultural landscape maintenance, and public engagement. Interns will gain valuable skills in team collaboration and independent project execution.

Key Information:

  • Location: Ste. Geneviève National Historical Park

  • Modality: In-person

  • Compensation:

    • $650/week living allowance

    • $1,100 travel allowance (to/from the site)

    • Eligible for AmeriCorps Education Award

    • Eligible for Public Land Corps (PLC) hiring certificate (after 640 hours)

  • Time Commitment: January 6, 2025 – May 2, 2025 (40 hours per week)

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Must work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Valid driver’s license required

• Housing is not provided, but local rental information is available
