Organization Overview: The Emerging Leaders Program is a five-part training program designed to empower self-advocates with disabilities and family advocates in California with the skills and knowledge to take on leadership roles in their communities. This program focuses on building advocacy skills to drive systemic change, with a special emphasis on equity, self-determination, and dismantling barriers for underserved individuals with disabilities, especially people of color and non-speaking individuals.

Estimated Time Commitment: Five 1-hour weekly sessions on Thursdays from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm, with additional monthly mentorship meetings
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a person with a disability or a family member of a person with a disability residing in California
Commitment to attend all five sessions
