Overview: This program helps adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities engage in their community through volunteering, group employment, and skill-building activities. Participants can explore new interests, create friendships, and build their resumes while receiving person-centered planning services aimed at increasing independence and integration.

Key Information:

  • Location: Various community sites, including Scripps Memorial Hospital, Plant It Again, Advantage Health Care, Porchlight Foodbank, Lemon Grove Community Garden, and more

  • Modality: In-person

  • Compensation: Not applicable (volunteering or group employment)

  • Estimated Time Commitment: Monday through Friday; activities tailored to participant schedules; 1:3 to 1:4 support provided

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Adults aged 18 and older with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities

  • Must express interest in small group day programming

  • Must not present a danger to themselves or others

  • Funding must be provided through the Regional Center or private payment
