Overview: The Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) Scholarship program supports Black and African American high school seniors pursuing careers in technology. The program awards a total of $150,000 annually, with five renewable $5,000 scholarships and fifty one-time $2,500 scholarships.

  • Pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or business-related fields (e.g., business administration, finance, marketing)

  • Demonstrate a passion for technology

  • Exhibit leadership in school or the community

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)

  • Require financial assistance to attend college

  • Microsoft employees and their children are ineligible
