Organization Overview:
Bigs & Littles NYC Mentoring provides one-to-one mentorship for children and youth, fostering personal and academic growth through positive, supportive relationships. The program pairs adult mentors ("Bigs") with young people ("Littles") to provide guidance, friendship, and encouragement, helping them develop essential life skills and confidence for the future.

Key Information:

• Location: New York City

• Modality: In-person (mentorship typically takes place in community settings or schools)

• Compensation: Unpaid volunteer position

• Estimated Time Commitment: Minimum of 4-6 hours per month, with a commitment of at least one year

Eligibility Requirements:

• Open to adults aged 21 and older

• Must complete a volunteer application, background check, and interview process

• U.S. citizenship or legal residency required

• Mentors should demonstrate a commitment to fostering positive relationships and supporting the personal development of youth
