The committee evaluates each applicant's character, knowledge, experience, motivation, and potential to become an outstanding bovine veterinarian in the U.S. and Canada. This assessment is based on the student's application, which includes experiences, academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and responses to two essay questions, as well as two letters of recommendation, one from an AABP member on the faculty of the applicant's veterinary school.
